• Pat Coil - Piano
• Joel Dibartolo - Bass
• Bob Leatherbarrow - Drums

Victor Japan JVC VDJ-1145

... Ernie Watts' work became much more interesting from a jazz standpoint starting in the mid-'80s when he joined Charlie Haden's Quartet West and started recording no-nonsense quartet dates for JVC. Ernie Watts has developed into one of the most powerful of tenormen with complete control over his horn and the ability to bring intensity and passion (plus taste) to any musical situation. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide

Miles Davis - Water Babies

This is a set of disparate tracks thrown together by CBS in order to have some product out there during Mile's late 70s retirement or break or whatever it was.
I think it has some great stuff , nothing rare but all prime Miles.

In 1981, Petrucciani recorded a solo piano album entitled Date With Time, but it was only released ten years later. Petrucciani allowed a friend who was facing economic hardships to release the album, although he stated publicly that he disliked the disc because he was, as he put it, ‘dead drunk’ at the time of the recording session.

Highly recommended by me,and him....

"The big problem with the most recent stuff, though, besides the fact that the dust hasn’t settled and we have no perspective yet on what mattered after 1980, is that so much of jazz in the last quarter-century hasn’t even stayed in print. That’s nobody’s fault, but there’s no point me recommending Geri Allen’s Maroons or Mulgrew Miller’s Hand in Hand because you can’t find them."
